Period Power

Every month there's a very stark choice for more and more women... buy sanitary products or buy food. In that situation you buy food and do without sanitary products. Women have become very inventive at finding alternatives to tampons and pads. Period power feel that this is an indignity no women should have to face. They are determined to eradicate period poverty.

Teenage Cancer Trust

Around seven young people aged between 13 and 24 are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK. They need expert treatment and support from the moment they hear the word ‘cancer.’ Teenage Cancer Trust are the only charity dedicated to making this happen. Before our first unit opened in 1990, there was no specialist cancer care for young people offered within the NHS. Now there are 28 specialist units and teams of expert nurses and youth support staff in NHS hospitals across the UK, offering young people with cancer the very best care and support from the moment they are diagnosed.

Dementia

A third of young people know someone living with dementia. Most people will know someone affected by the condition in their lifetime.
We want every young person to understand what it's like to live with dementia. We can then create a dementia-friendly generation by teaching students about dementia.
Dementia Friends is a free, fun and interactive session about dementia.
Schools are uniquely placed to help change the lives of local people living with dementia. By providing dementia awareness throughout schools, we can empower young people to take action and change the lives of local people affected by dementia
