What is Healthy Relationship

Being in a healthy relationship means that you feel safe and supported within an honest and respected partnership where the boundaries are not only understood but carried out too. Respect, trust and mutual values are significant ingredients to have within the healthy relationship. Every relationship is different however abuse of any kind whether emotional or physical is not a part of a healthy relationship.

Unhealthy Relationships

An unhealthy relationship is when one person hurts or bullies another person who is or was their partner. An unhealthy relationship (often referred to as Domestic Abuse) can happen between people who are boyfriend and girlfriend or who are married. It can happen when people live together or in different houses. Usually (but not always) it is the man who hurts the woman. Domestic Abuse can take place between grown-ups or children, there is no age limit.
